Purpose

Western NSW Community Legal Centre is an independent, not-for-profit organisation. Our purpose is to provide accessible legal services to people experiencing disadvantage in the State’s west.

We are committed to providing equal access to justice for all members of the community by offering free legal advice, referrals, community legal education, representation and practical support.

Our centre offers a generalist legal service and a specialist domestic violence unit. Western Women’s Legal Support assists women who are experiencing, or at risk of, domestic violence. This is an integrated service comprising solicitors and support workers.

The Centre uses research to identify social justice issues affecting people in the region and prepares law reform submissions to assist governments and organisations develop relevant and targeted policies.
