These aren't just statistics. They're women, children and families in our community.

Coercive control is a crime. It's a pattern of abusive behaviour used to coerce or control a current or former intimate partner. It can include monitoring, financial abuse, isolation, intimidation, threats and humiliation.

The NSW Government is reviewing the coercive control law to see whether it's working as intended and what, if anything, needs to change. Western NSW Community Legal Centre will be making a submission to the review based on our experience providing legal services across the Far West and Orana. We'll be advocating for our community.
